Here we have the project that started it all. Recorded at our friend Rob Erb's studio and it has had several names over time including: Drawers In the Wall Studio, Turtle Rock Studios, and Slap Me Silly Records. This project was recorded on an Otari 1" 8 Track recorder, yes Reel to Reel.
You can listen to this interesting piece of history right here.
The personel on these recordings varied slightly over the years. Originally formed as a Big Band, the members were:
Version 2 of the band saw the departure of Mike Grando and Dave Pinto, Bill Donner took over the drumming seat and Dirk Malavase reverted to the bass role at that point. This version also included a great friend and superb player, James Allen (Jim Burruto) on guitar. Sadly most of the digital audio of this configuration was damaged. We may try and rescue something from this line-up, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Version 3 was really trimmed down to a power trio, just Craig, Bill and Dirk.
